Make sure you select the right builder for your project. Fortunately we did! Stephen did an excellent job for us and we are so happy we decided to commission him for the project. We met Stephen as he was building another extension in our street and we could see that his working practice and the end-result were exceptional. Stephen invested a lot of time with us before the project started, ensuring we understood the process and was able to provide advice on some of the decisions we needed to make. He communicated a lot with us so we were fully briefed on what was happening with the build, what decisions we needed to make and how any problems could be solved. Stephen was friendly and respectful and understood our needs as a family and our timescales. As we were expecting a baby and had young children we left the house for the majority of the project and trusted Stephen and his team to take care of it. With a large project like this we were grateful for Stephen who could source and project manage the various trades required. He was excellent at ensuring they worked to his schedule so the build was completed in the required timeframe. We felt Stephen really cared about our home, using his expertise to provide better solutions and selecting high-quality material for a better finish. He kept the property as tidy as possible, ensured the house was safe and took precautions to prevent damage. Given the financial investment and importance of a comfortable working relationship with someone you feel you can trust, discuss ideas with and has your best interest at heart, we couldn't recommend Stephen enough.

Steve and the lads have just completed a two storey extension with additional garden improvements on our property and we are absolutely delighted with the results. Initially, after meeting with several builders, we decided to go ahead and commissioned Stephen to complete our large single storey kitchen dining extension. His costs were really reasonable and he definitely made us feel at ease about the process as we were very nervous initially! Stephen was super helpful right from the off - suggesting improvements to the architectural drawings based on his experience and guiding us through the whole build. He clearly outlined the stages of the build, along with rough timelines and worked super hard to complete the work as quickly as possible. Stephen managed the whole project for us, bringing in joiners, electricians and plumbers when they were needed. This was really important to us as we had no local knowledge of reliable tradespeople. The thing we like most about him is his communication and his ability to make you feel at ease during the process. He kept us up to date with the build as things progressed and answered all our questions efficiently. It's clear he has a passion for his work and really cares about what he does which is why we're employing him to landscape our garden later on this year.
